What happens at a Community Group meeting?
At their core, Community Groups are a smaller group of 8-12 people, and it is less about what you do (as important as that is) and more about who you do it with. By participating in a Community Group, you can expect to connect with others through any number of common activities: sharing a meal together, serving your local community, engaging in life giving conversations, wrestling through important questions and issues, discussing ways to better live out your faith, and together becoming more like Jesus.
How often does a Community Group meet?
Some groups meet weekly, and some groups meet every other week. During the summer and around holidays, most groups will take a break or meet less frequently. Overall, Community Groups try to meet as consistently as possible in order to bring greater meaning and community into the flow and rhythm of our life together. But even if you can't participate every week, there is still incredible value in joining a group.
What if I don't like the first group I try?
The truth is, not everyone will find the best fit with the first group they try. This is why we encourage you to select a few groups that interest you, contact the leaders and try out a couple different groups before choosing the best one for you. The simple strategy to finding a Community Group is to not give up. We believe there is a group that is right for everyone - including you!
Is there childcare available?
Yes! Community Groups that have multiple families with kids provide childcare so parents can truly participate in listening, sharing, learning, and growing together with others in their Community Group.
