We want to inform you about a transition that has taken place in the relationship between Grace Church and Cultivate Coffee & Tap House.
When Cultivate was launched a couple of years ago, the Grace Ann Arbor campus played a significant role in helping to begin this new business venture in Ypsilanti. Cultivate is designed to serve the values of community, craft, and cause and to direct its proceeds toward ending world hunger.
We celebrate that Cultivate has solidly established itself as a successful business and community gathering place in Ypsilanti, serving a number of different passions and needs.
At the same time, we also want to inform you that the relationship between Grace and Cultivate at the leadership level has proven to be far more complicated than anticipated for a number of reasons. In response to these challenges, both the leadership of Cultivate and Grace discerned that the best course of action was for Cultivate to transition out of the partnership with Grace Church and to establish itself as a business separate from Grace.
Many people from Grace are still actively engaged and involved at Cultivate and we encourage you to continue to enjoy this significant business which is serving the community and world in a beautiful way. We also felt it was important to inform you of this shift in our relationship that has taken place over the course of this past year.
If you have questions that are not addressed in this letter, you may reach out to our campus elder, Mike Zomermaand.
